Thank you for accepting our invitation to speak at the RPNAO 60th Annual AGM and Conference which will take place at Deerhurst Resort, 1235 Deerhurst Dr, Huntsville, ON P1H 2E8. Here are some important dates and additional information.
Once you let us know that you have accepted our offer to present as a speaker or poster, we will automatically register you for the conference. Your complimentary registration includes all sessions on Friday, October 26, 2018, breakfast, coffee breaks and lunch. If you wish to attend the Gala Dinner on Thursday, October 25, 2018, you will need to register and pay for a ticket.
Bedroom Reservations: Sunday, September 23, 2018
If you wish to make a bedroom reservation, bookings must be made before September 23, 2018. There are several different options at Deerhurst as follows:
- Lakeside guest room - $145
- Pavilion guest room - $142.31
- Pavilion junior suite - $142.31
- Summit One Bedroom Suite - $171.76
- Two bedroom condo - $230.65
- Three bedroom condo - $338.61
*Please note that there is a 8% resort fee in addition to the room rate PLUS 13% HST. There is plenty of free parking at the resort.

Conference rates are available from Sunday, October 21 to Sunday, October 28, 2018 Conference date. Please see the agenda for session times.
Speaker Contracts – August 31, 2018
Each speaker will be sent a speaker contract once they have confirmed participation in the event. This will cover which portions of the program you will attend, audio visual needs etc.
*Please note that our standard audio visual is comprised of a data project and screen along with a computer. Larger rooms will have microphones.
Speaker Presentation Due Date – Wednesday, October 17th, 2018
Send your PowerPoint presentation to email@example.com. We need to test to ensure that the presentation retains its integrity. If you have embedded videos or very large files (larger than 2MB), please contact Candace for alternate instructions.
Set up time: Set up for posters will be Friday October 26 between 7 am and 8 am. No set up will be allowed after 8 am on Friday morning. Tear down will be after 4:30 pm on Friday afternoon.
Tear down time: Immediately after the closing keynote speaker and conference wrap-up which is anticipated to be 4:30 pm
Poster Size: This year we have changed the size of the poster so please check the dimensions carefully. The poster boards are 4 feet wide by 6 feet high. As there is a metal frame around the edge, the live area that you must work with is 45 inchs wide by 69 inchs high. Posters can be attached either with push pins or Velcro.
What else to bring: We suggest you bring some handouts for people to take away if they want to review your topic after the conference. This could be anything from a business card with your contact details to a page or two summary of the project which should also contain your contact details.
